Society of Illustrators LA

illustration west 47 show flyer
I was notified on New Year’s day that one of my illustrations was accepted by the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles into the Illustration West 47 annual.
“Over 140 artworks created by artists all over the world were chosen by a panel of renowned illustrators and art directors, and we will announce the winners among them for Joseph Morgan Henninger Award (Best of Show) and the Patrick Nagel Award (For Excellence) on opening night.”
The piece that was accepted was one I did for Benjamen Purvis back when he was at The Las Vegas Weekly. It was titled, “Doth Anyone Read Anymore?” and it was a satirical portrait of an annoyed William Shakespeare.
